At Sunni African Grey Parrots, the health and well-being of our parrots is our highest priority. Every African Grey we raise is nurtured in a clean, structured environment with attentive daily care, proper nutrition, and responsible breeding practices.
Because of our transparency and commitment to ethical care, each African Grey placed through us is provided with a Health Guarantee to give new owners confidence and peace of mind.
Each African Grey parrot is carefully monitored prior to placement and assessed for overall health and normal development.
Our health guarantee covers serious, life-limiting congenital or genetic conditions that significantly affect the parrot’s quality of life and were present prior to placement.
Covered conditions may include:
Severe congenital abnormalities confirmed by an avian-qualified veterinarian
Serious genetic disorders that prevent normal function or long-term well-being
If such a condition is confirmed in writing by a licensed avian veterinarian within the covered period, we will work with you to determine an appropriate resolution.
Possible resolutions may include:
A replacement African Grey of comparable value (subject to availability), or
A partial refund, determined on a case-by-case basis with proper documentation
Our health guarantee does not apply to conditions that arise after placement due to factors beyond our control, including but not limited to:
Injury, accidents, or environmental stress after placement
Illness caused by improper diet, housing, or handling
Contagious diseases contracted after the parrot leaves our care
Behavioral issues related to training, bonding, or environmental changes
Normal adjustments, vocalization habits, or personality traits
Routine care matters such as grooming, dietary preferences, or minor treatable conditions are also not covered.
To keep this health guarantee valid, new owners are expected to:
Schedule an initial wellness exam with a qualified avian veterinarian within 72 hours of pickup or delivery
Provide proper housing, nutrition, enrichment, and a low-stress environment
Maintain routine veterinary care and follow professional guidance
Handle and socialize your African Grey responsibly and humanely
Failure to meet these responsibilities may void the health guarantee, as proper care is essential to long-term health.
We stand behind every African Grey parrot we raise. Our goal is not just placement, but lifelong success — for both the parrot and the family welcoming them home.
If you ever have questions, concerns, or need guidance, we’re always here to help.
